Yellowstone reopening info
A message from the Shurr’s (owners)
Hello,
As a small family business for 17 years we truly care about our guests and would like to offer them help with their Yellowstone planning this summer. With all of the uncertainty right now we understand that people still want to plan their summer vacation in Yellowstone or decide whether to cancel it, and how to get in the park after booking your tour (see below about entry instructions). Here are some things we have done to make your decision easier.
Firstly, we want our guests to feel comfortable being able to cancel with no stress . As such, we have waived our 7 day cancelation policy and replaced it with a 48 hour cancelation policy; no questions asked and a full refund will be issued.
Secondly, if you have booked a tour for this summer and are changing your lodging around please don’t feel like you have to cancel your tour yet. If you have to reschedule or cancel your tour because of lodging for the fastest response please contact us on our personal cell via text (239) 300-3004 or email info@shurradventures.net. If you have any questions on other activities to do feel free to reach out to us as well. We know many of the best rated outfitters in the area and can send you their way.
Thirdly,
We are located in the Grant Village Area, a great location on the South Loop for our guests traveling into the Park this summer (see map below). Even though the North and Northeast gates are closed all summer, along with the the northern loop, there are still over a million acres to see and explore on the southern loop. Guests, please don’t forget about the millions of acres of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosytem around the west gate (West Yellowstone), East gate (Cody), and South Gate (Grand Tetons). We have noticed over the years with thousands of guests that Yellowstone can become a working vacation if people are trying to see all of it in a week or less, it is almost impossible and tiresome! With West Gate (West Yellowstone), East Gate (Cody), and South Gate (Jackson Hole and the Tetons) all open this creates an opportunity to see certain parts of the park in a more intimate way. For example, kayaking on Lake Yellowstone, taking a van tour in the Tetons and Yellowstone with BackCountry Safaris, rafting the Gallatin river with Montana Whitewater, or going on a hike in the Grand Tetons and/or Yellowstone (with or without a guided tour) to get amongst the flora and fauna of the area.
Lastly, WHY YOU SHOULD STILL COME TO YELLOWSTONE
Since all three of these gates are open and with the new reservation system this creates an opportunity to see certain parts of the park in a more intimate way than Yellowstone guests have in the past. For example kayaking on Lake Yellowstone, taking a sunrise van tour in the Tetons and Yellowstone with BackCountry Safaris, rafting on the Gallatian River with Montana Whitewater, or going on a hike (with or without a guided tour) n the Grand Tetons, Yellowstone or the other millions of acres of breathtaking National Forest. We believe this strategy will give people an amazing experience and a more unique one than in years past and to be honest many business owners in the area rely on visitors to the park for their livelyhood. Our tours start earlier in the morning which will get you in the park without the crowded roads and at one of the best times to see wildlife. Our tours strive to be away from the crowds, to see Yellowstone in a unique and personal way with our amazing guides. We hope this helps and please let us know if you have any other questions for ideas and/or activities in the area.
Sincerely,
The Shurrs
