Lake Kayak Tours Half Day (3.5 hours)
Join Shurr Adventures for a Yellowstone Kayaking Eco-Tour. We offer the smallest group size to guide ratio on the lake and this tour is an excellent way to get away from the crowds. Paddling amongst and over the thermal features on Yellowstone Lake is truly special. Kayak with the Shurr’s and learn about Yellowstone Lake, its surrounding wildlife, and the geological history that shaped the lake and its ecosystems. Yellowstone National Park is so large that it is impossible to see everything in one day. This tour will help give our guests a broader view of the lake area and the southern/central part of Yellowstone National Park.
On our Yellowstone Lake Kayak Tour, we will pass by and over the thermal features of the West Thumb Geyser and Potts Basin. This is an excellent way to see these natural wonders up close and personal, without having to trudge through a crowded boardwalk. These high altitude lakes are also a good water source for a variety of birds, elk, deer, bears, and much more. We will be on the lookout for these animals as we kayak! This is truly an unbeatable experience!
Please remember that these kayak tours are on cold, high altitude lakes. The conditions can be calm and super clear on some days, or choppy and more adventurous on others. This trip meets at Grant Village Marina.
Check out our Hike/Kayak Combo if you want to add to your adventure.
