Join Shurr Adventures as the only outfitter to offer a kayaking/hiking combo Adventure in Yellowstone National Park. We will first paddle Lake Yellowstone in the morning for around 3 to 4 hours with a small group of only 8 people (at the most). Then, after lunch, we will meet up and head out on an easy no elevation hike on Riddle Lake (5 miles). On the first part of the Combo trip, we will paddle past several geothermal features at the West Thumb Geyser Basin and Pots Geyser Basins. After kayaking we will meet up for a hike. Our hike starts near 8,000 feet and we only gain 100 feet in elevation. This classic Yellowstone hike meanders thru scenic lodgepole pine forest and passes many beautiful meadows on the way to beautiful Riddle lake. This is a great high altitude hike without the effort and all of the enjoyment. The Riddle lake hike meets only three miles from our kayak launch spot!
*** We highly recommend doing the kayak and hiking trips on different days. The morning tour times are the best times to go for each trip. Please keep in mind that for most people paddling 5 miles and hiking 5 miles is a lot or too much in one day at 7,000+ feet in elevation.
